Dan, President and co-founder of Defense Acquisition Support (DAS) Services LLC, is an accomplished DoD acquisition professional with 40 years of experience buying material and services for Defense Agencies and the U.S. Army. As a PCO and then Senior Procurement Analyst supporting DoD Program Offices, Dan spent a large part of his career buying SETA services in a marketplace dominated by large DoD contractors with large indirect cost pools and wrap rates that drove costs to unseemly levels. The reality of an industry not sufficiently responsive to the Governments need to control manpower labor costs while simultaneously being unfair to the SETA employees working for a small percentage of the billable SETA labor rate, was the inspiration behind the formation of DAS in 2007 and led to the development of the DAS business model.
The DAS business model is to recruit and retain the very best acquisition personnel by providing the highest percentage of the labor category bill rate to the deserving employee. This is accomplished by having efficient operational processes and low operational costs. By hiring career minded and self-starting professionals and paying them the lion share of competitive bill rates, we win, the employee wins and most important of all, the customer wins.
If you are an accomplished DoD acquisition professional in any of the relevant functional areas including contracting, budget execution, financial management, manpower planning, engineering, logistics or administrative, please join us and maximize your earning potential and career satisfaction.
